UAB ELSIS TS won the tender organised by AB Amber Grid regarding “The Repairs of Automatic Equipment and Electrical Facilities of the Birštonas Gas Distribution Station (GDS) and the Purchase of Related Services” and on the 4th of May of this year it signed a work contract. AB Amber Grid is the operator of the Lithuanian natural gas transmission system which is responsible for the transmission (transportation via high-pressure pipelines) of natural gas to the users of the system as well as for the operation, maintenance, and development of the natural gas infrastructure.
As per the contract, the company’s personnel will carry out the following tasks: they will create simplified plans for repairing electrical, automatic, SCADA and alarm systems, dismantle the diesel generator located in the metal container and install it in a new GDS building; in addition, the company will install a new automatic control system (ACS) in the building’s control room and move the SCADA equipment, the control cabinets of the fire and security alarm and the diesel electrical generator, and implement the interaction between the ACS and SCADA system according to the framework of the SCADA automatic equipment and alarm interaction; the company will also provide all the necessary documents.
According to the plan, all tasks will be performed within six months and completed by the 30th of November 2015.
